Visit art where it’s made at the Waltham Mills 38th Annual Open Studios. During the first weekend of November, the Waltham Mills Artist Association, Lincoln Studios, and Metalwerx present their work and open their doors to the public. Visitors to this free event will have the opportunity to meet artists, tour studios, and browse and purchase the original artwork of over 75 participating artists right in time for the holidays! Hours will run from 12pm-6pm on Saturday November 1st, and 12pm-5pm on Sunday November 2nd.
Three buildings on Moody street participate in Waltham Mills Open Studios. The WMAA occupies two adjacent buildings at 144 Moody Street and is one of Greater Boston’s oldest artists’ communities. It boasts artists working in a wide range of styles and media including sculpture, glass, drawing, printmaking, textiles, photography, woodworking, film, and much more. Artists from Metalwerx, a Waltham-based, non-profit school and community studio for jewelry making and metal art, will be joining the WMAA at the Mills. Lincoln Studios, another collaborating artist community, will be welcoming visitors just a short walk away at 289 Moody Street. All are welcome and encouraged to come for a unique experience and interaction with art!
