A full time artist since 2004, my work is primarily 3D. I enjoy exploring the use of interlacings, particularly techniques of Japanese Kumihimo braids, to engage our complex and confusing world. I am also influenced by mosaic and worked in that arena for larger installations. Recently I have started combining the two along with paint in abstract collages that evoke fabric, fantasy scenes, and more literal metaphor. My work has been shown widely in the U.S. & England, the most recent venue was at the Bromfield Gallery in the South End, Boston. See my work in the show “Context: Language, Media, and Meaning” at the Fuller Craft Museum, Brockton, MA opening Oct, 27, 2019. I teach workshops emphasizing creativity and finding your voice.
