Kelly Carmody studied painting at Massachusetts College of Art, the studio of Numael Pulido and the Art Students Leaugue.
Her work has been published in American Art Collector, International Artist Magazine, Fine Art Today, Boston Magazine and The Boston Globe. She is a recipient of grants from the Ludwig Foundation, The Turkey Land Cove Foundation and the Jean Gates Foundation as well as being an Edward G. Mcdowell Travel Grantee and has received awards and recognition for her portrait work from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, Guild of Boston Artists, Art Renewal Center, Studio Visit Magazine, Artist Magazine, Cambridge Arts Association, and the Art Students League. Most she recently took 3rd place in the Portrait Society’s International Portrait Competition .
Kelly paints and teaches in her Waltham, MA studio and is represented by the Sloane Merill Gallery.
