I am an object maker. I believe that objects along with the context in which they are made and reside reveal much about who we are as individuals and as part of a greater society. The series: Politics of Fear reflects the anxiety and devisiveness pervading our society now.
Originally from the Midwest, Kathleen Volp studied with renowned conceptual Siah Armajani and kinetic artist Cork Marcheschi at the Minneapolis School of Art and Design. She received her BA from SUNY Empire State in NYC before settling in the Boston area. Her work has been exhibited widely, most recently at the Fitchburg Art Museum and a solo exhibitions at the Griffin Museum of Photography and Kelley/Stelling Gallery, Manchester NH. Volp represented by the Boston Sculptors Gallery.
