Ellen Solari is a maker of sculptural baskets. Formerly a painter, she discovered the world of textiles after learning how to knit. A Boston native, she graduated with a B.F.A. from Massachusetts College of Art. Ellen currently lives in Belmont, MA, and has a studio at the Waltham Mills Artists Association. When not working in her studio, she teaches art in an after school program in Arlington, MA.
