This latest series of portraits of well used tools is about the passage of time, both literally/visually in terms of evidence of use and decay, but also metaphorically – individual stories of the times and usefulness when problems were perceived and solvable in ways and by people differently than they are today.

Andrea Tishman has been an artist in the Boston area for over 25 years and presently works in her studio in Waltham. She received her BFA from Cornell University and studied at l’Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. Her work has been exhibited in galleries in Massachusetts, New York, and Paris.
